Problem

Let me just begin by stating that I am not computer savvy so please hold your criticisms and laughter.

When I download something, lets say an album or movie, off of megaupload, mediafire, or rapidshare, when I click on the downloaded item, a box pops up that says windows cannot open this file and that they need to know what program created it. Then it prompts me to go online to find the program or pick it manually.

I'm so goddamn lost. Please help.

what is the file extension? It probably is a .rar?

If that is the case you need to download winzip or zipeg to unarchive it.
